Gift of Securities

Gifts of securities are another great way to support our mission. By donating a gift of securities, you may receive a tax deduction for the full fair market value as of the donation date and you may not be taxed on unrealized gain. Please consult your financial advisor prior to making a gift of securities. Contact Ballet Tech’s Development Department at 212-777-7710, x316 for further information regarding how to make a gift.

Donor Advised Funds

A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) is a charitable investment account set up for the sole purpose of supporting charities. Contributions of cash, stocks, or other assets may be immediately tax-deductible once contributed to the DAF and may be invested for tax-free growth. Contact your DAF sponsoring organization for further information regarding tax benefits or to recommend a gift be made to Ballet Tech.

Corporate Matching

Ballet Tech greatly appreciates matching gifts from companies and will add the matching gift amount to your donation for recognition purposes. Check with your Human Resources department to see if they will match charitable donations made by employees.

IRA Distributions

We happily accept Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) from Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs). QCDs may count towards your Required Minimum Distribution and may not be included in your Adjusted Gross Income. For further information regarding tax benefits or to make a gift to Ballet Tech from your IRA, please contact your IRA trustee or custodian. Our tax identification number is 13-2773475.

Planned Giving

One of the simplest ways to remember Ballet Tech is in your estate plans. You can add the following sample language to your will:

“I give and devise (_________), without reduction for any tax occasioned by my death, to Ballet Tech, a New York charitable corporation located at 890 Broadway, New York, NY 10003, to be used or disposed of as Ballet Tech in its sole discretion deems appropriate.”

You may also designate your gift to a specific purpose. Our tax identification number is 13-2773475.
Please let us know if you have designated us in your will, so we can thank you properly and add your name to the Legacy Society.
